The Ghost Ribbon Eel (Pseudechidna brummeri), also known as the White Ribbon Eel can be found among the Indo-Pacific Ocean. They have a slender and pale or beige body that may exceed 3 feet in length, as well as small black specks covering their face and mouth. They are nocturnal by nature, hiding among rocks and debris during the day, and hunting among shallow waters by night. They feed on a variety of crustaceans and may have to be taught to eat frozen food. They can be kept in a 55 gallon tank as long as a sealed lid covers the aquarium, preventing escape. Eels are notoriously good at escaping, so proper precautions should be taken to ensure the safety of the eel. While they typically feed on crustaceans, they may occasionally go for smaller fish, so use caution when housing with small reef fish.Â
