The Pink Square Anthias, Pseudoanthias pleurotaenia, is also known as the Squarespot Anthias, Purple Blotch Anthias, Squareblock Anthias, Square Anthias, and Mirror Anthias. Male Pink Square Anthias are generally reddish pink with a bright pink square, and the female is a bright orange-yellow color.

The Pink Square Anthias should not be kept in a tank less than 50 gallons if kept individually, and a tank no smaller than 100 gallons if kept in a group. It is a hardy fish, and easy to care for and considered a great schooling fish. The Pink Square Anthias is peaceful and gets along well with other community fish, and should never be housed with fish that are too aggressive. It is completely reef safe, meaning they will not harm any Coral or invertebrates that are present in the tank.  The Pink Square Anthias chiefly feeds on zooplankton and gets benefit from several small feedings throughout the day. Their diet should consist of food like mysis shrimp, vitamin enriched brine shrimp and similar meaty preparations. The  Pink Square Anthias requires strong water movement in your tank. The Pink Square Anthias will thrive at temperatures of 72-78° F and a pH of 8.1-8.4.
