Description

The Flavoguttatus Anthias, Pseudanthias flavoguttatus, has a beautifully intricate body coloration pattern. It has a sumptuous pink base color with white and red striping across its dorsal fin. The Flavoguttatus Anthias is a deep-water fish that is well suited for an established reef aquarium. It is reef safe and is generally disinterested in messing with corals and sessile inverts. They are best kept in tanks of no less than 50 gallons with moderate lighting conditions.
Like most Anthias species, the Flavoguttatus Anthias is hermaphroditic. They are best kept in groups of one male and several females. If the dominant male dies, the next largest female will often assume leadership of the group. To keep the Flavoguttatus Anthias happy, there should be plenty of live rock and hiding places in the tank. They are best fed a diet consisting of brine and mysis shrimp and food-grade marine pellets.
The Flavoguttatus Anthias is a well-rounded fish suitable for almost any tank. Given its hardiness and ease of care all aquarists are suited to care for this spectacular specimen.
