Description
The Look Down Fish, Selene vomer, also known as the Lookdown Fish, has one of the most unique body shapes you will find in the aquarium trade. Often found in very large tanks, this rarely available fish features a shiny body and a characteristic blunt head. They should be kept in large tanks, as groups of at least five, with plenty of space to swim freely. They are intense schooling fish that require a completely different tank set up than the typical reef tank. Little live rock should be present and there should be a sandy substrate. The Look Down Fish will eat a varied carnivorous diet. Some species are beginning to be captive bred making them even more suited to thriving in the home aquarium.
