Add color and activity to your home aquarium with the Temminicki Fairy Wrasse. Scientifically known as the Cirrhilabrus Temminicki, it is quite popularly called the Bluestripe Fairy Wrasse from Vanuatu. A male Temminicki Fairy Wrasse is a peaceful wrasse with a red and white body. It features yellow or neon green stripes all over its white belly. A male Temminicki Fairy Wrasse is comparatively more attractive than its female counterpart. The coloration varies depending upon the fish?s mood. These Temmicki Wrasses are generally peaceful and will not bother any corals or invertebrates. This makes them a reef-safe addition to your home aquarium. It is important to note a male Temminicki Fairy Wrasse can be introduced to a group of females without much worrying. These wrasses are decent jumpers and should be housed in a canopy-fitted aquarium to avoid jumping from open spaces. They grow to a maximum size of 4 1/2″ and can be housed in a 90-gallon aquarium. These Bluestripe Fairy Wrasses thrive on a vitamin-rich diet of Mysis shrimp, frozen brine shrimp, marine flakes and marine food pellets.
