The Orchid Dottyback Fridmani, Pseudochromis fridmaniis, is a vibrantly purple colored dottyback with a black stripe running through the eyes. This particular Orchid Dottyback Fridmani is captive bred meaning it was born and raised in an aquarium. Often these types of fish acclimate sooner and easier to the home aquarium and are often more hardy over time. They will feed off most prepared foods especially frozen brine and mysis shrimp. The Orchid Dottyback Fridmani is mildly territorial but can be kept with more than one in the same tank given there is plenty of live rock and hiding places for multiple individuals. The Orchid Dottyback, especially an aquacultured one, is a great beginner fish as they are very hardy, acclimate easy, and are not picky eaters. Sometimes the Orchid Dottyback Fridmani will even eat pesky bristleworms making it a beneficial tank member.
