Submission Guidelines

One Form Per Distinct Item or Collection

Please submit separate trade-in forms for each item that requires individual pricing. For example, if you have 5 different coral species that each need their own valuation, submit 5 separate forms.

Grouping Similar Items

For collections of similar items (e.g., a group of the same zoa frag or clean-up crew), you can submit a single form with clear indication of quantity. The trade-in value will be for the entire group.

Photo Requirements

Include at least 1-2 clear, well-lit photos of each item. For corals and fish, ensure the photos show the true coloration and size with a reference object if possible.

Accurate Descriptions

Provide detailed information including size, age, condition, and any relevant history (e.g., growth rate, feeding schedule).

Frequently Asked Questions

How much will I receive for my items?

Trade-in values vary based on the item type, size, color, rarity, and current market demand. For corals and fish, factors like species, color morphs, and condition are important. For equipment, brand, age, and functionality matter most. You can request your desired value during submission, and we'll either approve it or provide a counter-offer.

What happens if I receive a counter-offer?

If we provide a counter-offer, you'll receive an email notification. You can log in to your account to accept or decline the offer. If accepted, we'll generate your trade-in certificate.

What's the difference between cash and store credit?

Store credit gives you an additional 10% value bonus, while cash payments are offered at the base value. For cash payments over $50, we offer payment via company check or electronic payment methods (Zelle, Venmo, or Cash App) for your convenience and security.

Do I need to quarantine fish or corals before trading them in?

While quarantine isn't strictly required, all livestock must be healthy and free from visible pests, disease, or bleaching. We may decline items showing signs of issues, so please only submit healthy specimens.

How quickly will I receive payment?

For approved trade-ins, you'll receive payment immediately when you bring the items to our store. Store credit is applied to your account on the spot, while cash payments are provided at checkout. For larger amounts requiring checks or electronic payment, processing typically takes 1-2 business days.
