The Zebra Flounder, Gymnachirus sp., also known as the Zebra Sole, features a distinctive black and white striped ovular body. This species is relatively peaceful and will spend much of its time along the sand bed, therefore it is suggested that you keep it in a tank with a thick sandy substrate. The Zebra Flounder will take frozen prepared meaty foods like brine or mysis shrimp as well as flake foods. Occasionally, the Zebra Flounder may act aggressively towards smaller fish and inverts if it feels threatened making it a reef safe with caution species. They can be a difficult species to keep in captivity so it is suggested that only experienced aquarist care for the Zebra Flounder.
