The Paracentropyge Venustus or Venustus Angelfish is one of the largest dwarf angelfish found in the deep waters of Western Pacific. It has bluish-purple body with a thick yellow vertical stripe. An adult Venustus Angelfish reaches a maximum size of 5 inches and so, can be housed in a 120-gallon aquarium. It is one of the rarest angelfish that will thrive better when provided with a couple of live rocks and large algae to graze upon. A Venustus Angelfish is never recommended as a reef-safe addition for its highly-aggressive behavior. It is not compatible to be kept with species like corals, inverts, and clams. It is suggested to feed a mixture of Angelfish Formula that contains sponge matter as well as frozen mysis shrimp and spirulina to begin with. They can flourish in water temperature between 74-82° F and a pH of 8.1-8.4.
