The Randalli Anthias is one of the most beautiful in the anthias family. Male becomes striped in red and magenta, whereas the females will have yellow snout. The Randalli Anthias will grow to be about 7 inches and requires a tank with plenty of cliffs and overhangs, so that it feels as comfort able as in its natural habitat. They should be kept in a tank no less than 40 gallons if kept individually, and no less than 70 gallons in kept in a group. The Randalli Anthias is mainly planktonic thus introducing plenty of live rocks is beneficial as it can encourage the growth of algae on which it can feed in between its meals. The Randalli Anthias is semi-difficult and needs special care and food for its survival. They should be fed a diet of mysis shrimp, and vitamin enriched brine shrimp, and other meaty preparations. Since the Randalli Anthias doesn’t bother invertebrates or coral present in the tank, it makes a good reef dweller. The male Randalli Anthias should never be housed with larger and more active, aggressive Anthias species. The Randalli Anthias is peaceful in nature but may become belligerent towards the same kind of species. The Randalli Anthias is a beautiful fish to keep, and with its stunning color, it makes a captivating addition to any aquarium. The Randalli Anthias thrives well in a temperature range of 72-78 degrees°F and pH of 8.1-8.4.
