Description

The Panda Butterfly, Chaetodon adiergastos, also known as the Philippine Butterfly, is native to the oceans of Southeast Asia ranging from Taiwan to Australia. Its unique body pattern including thick black spots over its eyes and forehead vaguely resemble the patterns found on a Panda Bear.

Panda Butterfly Care Facts:

they can be kept in small groups or mated pairs but must have larger tanks
should be kept in tanks of at least 100 gallons with plenty of live rock and free swimming space
may nip on corals or sessile inverts
should not be housed with aggressive tank mates
may struggle feeding at first – will feed on varied omnivorous diet
should be cared for by an experienced aquarist
