Description
The Indian Vagabond Butterfly, Chaetodon decussatus, also known as the Black Vagabond Butterfly, features white body with diagonal black chevron-like stripes, a black eye bar and a yellow striped tail. Juvenile Indian Vagabond Butterflies resemble the adults with the addition of a black spot in the back half of their body.
Indian Vagabond Butterfly Care Facts:
- they are best kept in pairs and must be kept in a tank of at least 150 gallons with plenty of live rock and free swimming space
- pairs should be introduced at the same time
- usually best kept in FOWLR tanks as they are prone to nipping on corals and sessile inverts
- relatively difficult to keep so best kept by an experienced aquarist
- will eat an varied omnivorous diet 2-3 times per day and may have trouble eating at first but will eventually acclimate
