  • Due to their unusual feeding habits, Janss’ Pipefish should only be kept by experienced aquarists.
  • They are best kept with other pipefish or seahorses in a tank of at least 25 gallons.
  • They should NOT be housed with inverts bearing stinging tentacles or large claws.
  • Janss’ Pipefish should be housed in tanks with plenty of live rock creating places for them to hide.
  • They are often successfully bred in home aquariums when kept well fed.
Overall Janss’ Pipefish is extremely unique in both appearance and habit. They require intense care and tank specification to ensure the best survivability rates of the pipefish in your aquarium.
