The aquacultured ORA® Vargas Cespitularia is a truly unique color form making it one of the hobbies most sought after soft corals. The Vargas Cespitularia was brought to ORA by Tony Vargas and has elegant polyps dressed in a vibrant and breathtaking blue coloration sure to captivate any onlooker. In fact, many aquarists build entire aquascapes around this Cespitularia coral. The aquacultured Vargas Cespitularia helps reduce the strain placed on our ocean’s fragile reefs.
Like many colorful corals, the Vargas Cespitularia hosts symbiotic zooxanthellae algae within its body. These algae provide the Vargas Cespitularia with the majority of its nutritional requirements but will benefit from the addition of foods designed for corals and invertebrates.
To create ideal water movement, use supplemental water movement devices such as power heads or additional pumps.
They will thrive in a variety of lighting conditions, ranging from power compacts, T-5s, powerful LEDs and up to the more intense metal halides. The ORA aquacultured corals satisfy the majority of their nutritional requirements by means of photosynthetic, symbiotic zooxanthellae algae hosted within its body.
The ORA Aquacultured Vargas Cespitularia coral is attached to an argonite plug and can be easily placed in holes or between the rockwork of the reef aquarium
