This very hardy soft coral with stunning yellow polyps from ORA ® is comparable in shape to Nepthea corals; but grows to have a more substantial stalk. The Sinularia Finger Leather Coral is commonly referred to as Flexible Leather Coral, or Soft Finger Coral. It can be recognized from other members of the genus by its short stubby fingers that have multiple branches. This coral can be found in shades of yellow, gold, or tan.
It is a semi-aggressive soft coral and needs space between itself and other corals. This hardy fast growing ORA Aquacultured coral is much easier to maintain in the home aquarium. It requires Moderate to high lighting, and medium to strong water movement, along with the addition of iodine, strontium, and trace elements to the water.
It obtains the majority of its nutrition from symbiotic algae zooxanthellae, but will benefit from additional food such as micro-plankton, baby brine shrimp, or foods designed for filter feeding invertebrates.
The ORA Sinularia Finger Leather Coral, Yellow Polyp is attached to an aragonite block and can be easily placed in holes or between the rockwork of the reef aquarium.
