The ORA® Aquacultured Micronesian Torch Coral is a gorgeous color morph that beautifully exemplifies the popularity of this large polyp stony (LPS) coral. The ORA Aquacultured Micronesian Torch Coral features tentacles in a pleasing shade of purple with brilliant turquoise-green tips that inject wonderful color to reef rockwork. Its graceful form and striking color combination makes it an attractive addition to mixed reef aquariums and soft coral dominated “Softie” setups.
The ORA Aquacultured Micronesian Torch Coral is moderately difficult to maintain, but will thrive with proper water conditions in an established reef aquarium. Provide moderate lighting combined with medium water movement within the aquarium. At night, its sweeper tentacles can extend several inches, stinging other species in the reef aquarium. Therefore, allow plenty of room between it and neighboring corals and other sessile animals. For continued good health, the ORA Aquacultured Micronesian Torch Coral will also require the addition of calcium, strontium, and other trace elements to the water.
The ORA Aquacultured Micronesian Torch Coral will benefit from additional food fed weekly in the form of micro-plankton or brine shrimp.
The ORA Aquacultured Micronesian Torch Coral is attached to an aragonite block and can be easily placed in holes or between the rockwork of the reef aquarium.
