The Marshall Island Pink & Green Acropora Coral combines two beautiful colors into 1 coral Frag. This highly variable coral allows you to pick the coloration you would like to see. Utilizing high intensity lighting to bring out the pinks and lower intensity lighting will bring out more of the green coloration.
The growth rate of these corals is fairly slow when compared to other ORA™ varieties even when maintained in a well-established reef aquarium. It can also be cultured and grown into a new colony from living fragments or broken pieces, if conditions are ideal. Strong alternating currents within the aquarium are ideal for the health of the coral. Additions of supplemental calcium, strontium, and other trace elements to the water will benefit all of the SPS corals in the reef aquarium.
The symbiotic algae zooxanthellae are hosted within its body, so it receives the majority of its nutritional requirements from photosynthesis. While it does not require additional food to maintain its health in the reef aquarium, it will feed on microplankton or foods designed for filter feeding invertebrates.
The Marshall Island Pink & Green Acropora Coral frags are mounted on a composite plug that can be affixed to live rock anywhere in the aquarium with gel super glue or epoxy.
