The Annularis Angelfish is also referred as the Blue Ring Angelfish and Blue King Angelfish due to its brilliant sapphire stripes over a predominantly blue body and whitish tail. The Annularis Angelfish is an extremely popular and hardy angelfish, which makes it a good aquarists. With its beautiful design and pattern, currently in the transformative state between juvenile and adult, this Annularis Angelfish is adorned with irregular rear semicircles that make a captivating addition to any tank. The Annularis Angelfish requires a tank not less than 60 gallons or larger tank with large amounts of live rocks for hiding and grazing upon slimy algae and cyanobacteria. Therefore we suggest you to add plenty of live rocks that can encourage the growth of algae on it. Since the Annularis Angelfish has the propensity to topple soft corals and clam mantles, it doesn?t make a good reef candidate. But Juvenile specimens are less risky for a reef aquarium since they primarily feed on algae and tiny animals that live in the algae. The Annularis Angelfish should be given a varied diet of spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, and mysis or frozen shrimp, and feeding three times a day makes them healthy. The Annularis Angelfish thrives well in a temperature range of 72-78 degrees Fahrenheit and pH of 8.1-8.4. The Annularis Angelfish is semi-aggressive towards similar looking fishes or other angelfish species. Therefore, the Annularis Angelfish should be kept singly, but should not be housed with the similar looking fishes.
