The Blue spotted Watchman Goby, also known as the Blackfinned Shrimp Goby is a beautiful fish discovered by Bleeker in 1849. This fish display two color phases: the first phase has an orange head and blue spots and the second phase is olive drab and blue spots. This watchman goby can be housed easily in a 30-gallon or larger aquarium. Any spacious aquarium with filled with loose coral rubbles can help these colorful fish to be at their natural best. They are highly territorial and tend to be aggressive towards other fish or any smaller ornamental shrimp. With a strong tendency to jump out from the open holes, these watchman fish should be kept in a tight-canopy environment. A tight canopy prevents them to jump out of water. These fish can be fed a mix of Mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and table shrimp, three times in a day.
