Two Little Fishies pre-rinses their media in RODI water, as well as manually removing any snail or clam shells before packaging. Reborn is one of the only calcium reactor medias that still uses legally sourced coral bones and our preferred choice for a low cost calcium reactor media that will not clog like many others in a calcium reactor.  Since ReBorn is made up of crushed coral skeleton it provides the essential elements that are the building blocks of a reef back into the tank.  By adding in exactly the elements your stony corals need you are ensuring they will grow and stay healthy!

Usage

Reborn also works great as a medium for freshly cut soft corals to attach to during the fragging process.  This allows the soft corals to attach to a solid piece of rock making it easy when gluing down.  It works great in baskets for anemones, mushrooms and other substrate dwelling corals. TLF Reborn is also great when added to a tank with burrowing fish or shrimp.  They will use the larger pieces to help build their burrows and tunnels.

We recommended to start your calcium reactor at a pH of 6.7 or higher when using this media.  To have higher magnesium levels in the tank consider adding TLF ReMag to the reactor in addition to ReBorn to also increase the magnesium content in your effluent.
