Dosing Recommendations

Dino Buster:

• Dose 20ml per 10 gallons of aquarium water volume.
• Turn off the return pump and leave wavemakers on for 1-3 hours after dosing to maximize effectiveness.

Silicate Water (18% Solution):

• Dose 1ml per 30 gallons of aquarium water volume to achieve a silica level of 2ppm.
• Dilute silicate water in 300-500ml of RO/DI water before dosing in a high-flow area.
• Use a silica test kit (e.g., Red Sea, Salifert, or Hanna Checkers) to monitor silica levels every 3-7 days.
• Maintain silica levels between 2-4ppm for optimal results.

• Silica Dosing Tips:
  • Failure to dilute silicate water may result in binding in saltwater and lower silica levels.
  • A “white snow” effect (magnesium precipitation) may occur but is harmless and does not affect magnesium levels.
